During my graduate studies, I furthered my studies in linguistics with courses such as Second-Language Acquisition Theory, Disciplinary Discourses of Linguistics, and Advanced Syntax. I also developed my interest in implementing games and technology into learning.
I also joined the Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) Club to further connect with Language Educators and Researchers. Through this, I had the opportunity to be the advertising and social media co-chair for the 2020 AZCALL Conference.
This experience accumulated into my Master's Capstone: "Tool for Evaluating the Usefulness of Video Games in ESOL Classrooms"

My academic journey at Arizona State University started with a Bachelor of Arts in English Linguistics. During this time, I studied the fundamentals of linguistics as well as learning different languages. During the final year, I was able to start my graduate studies early through ASU's 4+1 program.
I also had the opportunity to study abroad in various European Countries through the CIEE Open Campus Program.
Finally, joining the Learning and Development Lab as a Research Assistant ignited my love of research.
